Commuting blues for Okhla residents

Many Okhla residents who regularly travel through DTC-run buses in the locality are faced with hardship. Sharing his experience, a resident Tahsin Usmani wrote on his timeline: “Passengers are waiting on Okhla bus stand for almost one hour and this bus driver is turning back his bus from Batla House. This is almost a regular practice for buses that run on 894 route.”

He is not the only resident to express dismay over alleged poor bus services in the locality. It is common to see bus drivers not coming to Kalindi Kunj. However, some residents pointed out that that many bus drivers are put off to come inside Batla House due to metro work, road encroachment and mushrooming roadside eateries.

Bus drivers could not be reached for their comments.
