3-year-old falls from 4th floor, dies in Okhla

In a tragic incident that unfolded in Okhla a 3-year-old boy who was playing on the 4th floor of a building in New Friends’ Colony fall off from the balcony on Monday morning, claimed reports.

According to police, the boy identified as Yash fell of the building when his leg slipped as he was playing in the balcony. His parents rushed out to save their son after they heard Yash shouting.

However, it was too late as they found him lying on the ground with his head bleeding. Yash was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors declared his condition critical. Despite putting him on ventilator, the boy’s heath condition kept on deteriorating, reported TOI.

It is understood that Yash was their only son and due to medical complication Ravindra’s wife Geeta could not conceive again.

“I will have him arrested,” said Geeta, who blamed the house owner for negligence. A case of accident death has been registered following a complaint filed by Yash’s parents.

“Being with Yash was the only thing I looked forward to throughout the day. I don’t think we would be able to stay in this house now. It would haunt us,” said Ravindra, who worked as a driver.  

A few days one such incident had taken place in Shaheen Bagh when a small baby had fallen from the terrace and died. She was rushed to a local hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. Then too residents had talked about unsafe balcony and raised the issue of covering the balcony to keep children safe.
