The CBSE Class XII results were out on Sunday. A Nodia girl student topped missing a perfect 100 with only two marks. And as India celebrated the moment in Okhla too there were a few success stories with five girls from Jasola Government School coming out with flying colours.
Of them Fatima stood at number one position by scoring 86 per cent. “This girl is hard working and made it to the top in her school. She topped in Jasola Government School. With four other girl students topped with Meenakshi getting 84.6 per cent, Sumaila.83.6 per cent, Gauri.83 per cent and Rukaiya.82.2 per cent,” said Nazia Hassan, Okhla-based social activist and social worker at Jasola GSSS.
This year the Delhi Government Schools have outperformed private schools in the result performance, according to Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia.
Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Manish Sisodia congratulated all children, teachers and principals for the outstanding performance.
“Children studying in government and private schools, are both ours. But it is a moment of pride that children studying in Delhi’s Government schools are performing so much better than private schools. This remarkable result has been achieved despite the fact that this year we had prevented cheating in a big way,” he said.
