April 26, 2011: Central University Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has made available an Admission Helpline through its website: http://www.jmi.ac.in/admission/admissionhelp.htm. The administration has taken this decision keeping in view the increasing number of queries and in order to avoid any inconvenience to candidates seeking admission to JMI, claimed media coordinator. Through this facility, the candidates seeking admission to various faculties, centres, departments and schools at JMI can directly contact the concerned Deans of Faculty, Heads of Departments, Directors of Centres, or Principal of Schools as also other officers/officials of the University such as the Foreign Students Advisor and others, according to the press release issued by the University.

Also, the University website has provided the contact details of important officials. Their emails addresses and phone numbers have also been provided. The students can either call or send email to the concerned official and get answers to their queries, claimed the press release.

Jamia alumnus Naseem-ur-Rahman praised the authorities for unrolling the admission helpline. He said: “This is the right move. Earlier students used to have problems. Now even out stationed students can benefit from this facility by getting all the information through Internet.”
