Cable theft: After more than 20 days linesmen fix fault

It was more than twenty days ago when several MTNL users lost their internet connection. On being asked, it was found that the internet blackout was result of cable theft in Abul Fazal Enclave. Many users didn’t accept this fact and blamed the officials for making up a story.

However, they were wrong after some residents saw several linesmen landing in the locality to fix the fault, said residents adding when question about such a delay, one person said they should not be blamed as they were waiting orders from the top.

Cable theft is a big issue in the locality with officials claiming that the internet blackout in several parts of the locality is the result of theft. It has been reported earlier also how for days there was no MTNL internet connection in the locality after cable theft.

Some officials said the solution to the rampant cable theft is fiber optics. Several parts of Delhi have their cable changed bringing an end to theft. Okhla residents too are looking forward to change in the locality so that they too could use internet without any hassle.

Some residents heaved a sigh of relief after the cable wire was replaced by new one.
