Breaking fast with Justice Sachar in Okhla

The Socialist Party is spreading its wings in Okhla. And in a move to gain support, the party organised an Iftar party at Mushawart office in Abul Fazal Enclave. Besides, Mushawarat president and other locals, the biggest attraction was Justice (retd) Rajinder Sachar.

Advocate Sanjay Parik (PUCL general secretary), Advocate Kiran (president PUCL), SQR Ilyas (president Welfare Party) Naved Hamid, Faisal Khan (president Kudai Khidmatgar and other community leaders and activists were also present, said Syed Tahseen the organizer.

In Ramzan, several such Iftar party is being thrown. A few days ago SIO invited family members of Akhlaq, Najeeb and Pehlu Khan, who during their interaction with people and the media narrated their painful stories.

“It’s been two months since I lost my father, and no one from Rajasthan or Haryana government has visited our home. No one should be allowed to take law into their hands… we want justice,” said the 26-year-old, who was allegedly beaten by gau rakshaks in Alwar on April 1.


“They broke my ribs and nose, I haven’t been able to get myself treated because I have no money. I can’t work now and I will not do dairy business anymore,” said Rafiq, 24, who was with Pehlu Khan the day he was beaten up, reported Indian Express.

In an emotional plea about her missing son, Nafees said, “We have to protect ourselves; we will keep coming to the streets. I’ve written to and tried meeting several leaders about my son, but none of the accused have been arrested.”
