Book ‘Premchand in World Languages’ released at Jamia

A book ‘Premchand in World Languages’ edited by Professor M Asaduddin of Jamia Millia Islamia and published by the Routledge India publication was released on the campus on Wednesday by Shahid Mehdi, former Vice Chancellor of Jamia.

The release was followed by a seminar and the discussion session was chaired by Professor Vasudha Dalimia, Professor Emirita of Hindi, University of California, Berkeley, USA.

Premchand Archives & Literary Centre organised the seminar.

Termed as a landmark publication in Premchand studies, the book highlights the stretching boundaries of Indian literature and culture.

Professor Asaduddin, a scholar of literature and translation studies, is a recipient of Katha Award, A K Ramanujan Award, the Sahitya Akademi Award to name a few.
