On the eve of completing three years as a Member of Parliament, BJP National Secretary and East Delhi MP Maheish Girri highlighted a number of development activities undertaken in his constituency that were directly linked to public welfare, he said in a statement.
The MP stressed upon the mega DivyangSashaktikaranSamarohorganisedat East Delhi, wherein special equipment were delivered to 1544 needy specially abled people. Further, loans exceeding Rs. 600 crore have been disbursed to various entrepreneurs of East Delhi under Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana for supporting or initiating employment initiatives.
In addition, he indicated that he allotted approximately Rs. 4 crore from MPLAD’s Fund towards installation of CCTV cameras in his constituency for enhancing women safety and protecting life and property of general public. Additional police stations have been established at AnandVihar ISBT, old Seelampur and Sunlight Colony to prevent crime.Rs. 1.5 crore has also been allocated from the MPLAD’s fund towards installing benches, dustbins, RO machine, sheds, roads & toilets for the convenience of passengers at railway stations atAnandVihar, Nizamuddin and Shahdara.
2500 girls were enrolled in primary schools under the flagship program of BetiBachao – BetiPadhao initiative on Women’s day. More than 1200 high mast light & street lights have been installed at various locations of East Delhi & many more are in the process of being set up. One dispensary atMadanpur Khadar, one for the area constituting IP Extension, MayurVihar Phase 1 & Phase 2; &One ayurveda dispensary at Geeta Colony & West Vinod Nagar were established.
Under the flagship program of Smart City Mission, TOD Hub will be constructed at Karkardooma and Sanjay Lake City will be developed at Trilokpuri. Work has already commenced on the expansion of Barapullah elevated road. This will reduce the transit time from Sarai Kale Khan to MayurVihar. The construction of the new underpass at SaritaVihar has given respite to the people of Okhla and other allied areas from traffic jams. The permission for the construction of underpass for Ashram chowk has also been obtained. Further, two new power grids were established at Rajghat and Karkardooma.
For the purpose of improving education, new schools were built atMayurVihar Phase I, KalyanPuri, Khichripur, Mandawali, Laxmi Nagar along with 13 other locations. Community centres have been constructedatSukhVihar, Krishna Nagar, SamaspurJagir village, Jasola village and at 10 other locations.
Aadhar card registration, LED bulb distribution and centrally sponsored schemes camps, including Pradhan Mantri Jan DhanYojana, Pradhan Mantri Jeevan JyotiBimaYojana& Pradhan Mantri Suraksha BimaYojana were organised in every ward. Approximately Rs. 2 crore was disbursed from Pradhan Mantri Relief Fund towards the treatment of 90 needy people. More than 2000 people were provided health benefits under a Mega Health Programmeorganised at VivekVihar.
Proposals on 8 multi-level parking and 20 model parks have been forwarded to DDA. The expansion of Ashram flyover has already been proposed, and the work will commence soon. For the purpose of repairing the old iron bridge on Yamuna River, Rs. 10 crore has been obtained from the Railways as cost of repair, and the work has already commenced. The flyover on Seelampur and Shastri Park GT Road has been approved, and the work will start soon.
Chilla village was included under Pradhan MantriAdarsh Gram Yojana, wherein a community hall, skill development centre, choupal and toilets have already been constructed& other developmental works are in progress. Water and sewage pipelines too werelaid at the village.
Sanjay Lake Park is being developed as a beautiful world class tourist place. AnandVihar Railway Station too will be made a world class railway station.Nizamuddin Railway Station is in the process of being significantly renovated.
41GirriChoupalshave been organised to reach out to thelocal people at East Delhi, wherein the MP has resolved the problems of the local public at their door step. As of now, more than 3000 problems have been settled and disposed off. Honourable Prime Minister and BJP National President have also praised & admired this initiative of Choupals.
The MP invited everybody to approach him, in case of a complaint or problem, irrespective of place and constituency that the person belongs to everyday throughJantaDarbarat MP’s office or by any other medium. He is confident that, East Delhi will soon be developed with all modern facilities & amenities, and shall be an example of a clean, beautiful and green place.
