Bike carrying toddler, mother turns turtle

A road accident took place in Okhla on the outer Jamia Millia Islamia road on the wee hour of Tuesday at about 12:45 am. How the accident happened is not know but a man, toddler and his wife did sustain injuries when the bike turned turtle, according to eyewitnesses.

Passersby after seeing the bike on the road stopped to help the man and his family, who was not wearing helmet and appears to be returning to his house in Jamia Nagar with his small family, including a toddler. Eyewitnesses said it appeared that nobody received life-threatening injuries but the man’s leg was hurt as it was bleeding.

Passersby suggested the man to get first aid in a hospital to make sure that no internal injuries were received to the toddler and mother. What happened next is not known as the man thanked the passersby and then moved away from the spot. The woman appeared to be in pain as she got some internal injuries. To make sure that his small baby hasn’t received any internal injuries made his daughter walk for a while.

Cases of road accidents are increasing in the locality. A few days ago reports had surfaced about how a driver in the night had hit a divider put in Abul Fazal Enclave. In this case nothing like this happened. Moreover, rash driving is cause of concern in this locality with many youths spotted driving bikes without carry driving licenses and wearing helmets. Also, normal residents have been found flouting laws by driving without wearing helmets.
