Shaheen Bagh residents desptach relief materials for Bihar flood victims

Concerned with the flood situation in some districts of Bihar, many Okhla residents are collecting relief materials. Some activists of Shaheen Bagh too are involved in the philanthropic activities and a few days ago they released relief materials for flood victims.

Activist Syed Zafar Islam Hashmi told OT.COM that their organization ECM collected relief materials. “We despatched to flood hit areas of Bihar from where it will be distributed among the needy,” said Hashmi.

He said other activists like Professor Jawed Ahmed, Imdad Ullah and others were involved in the work to collect relief materials from residents of Bihar.

Several people are involved in the charity with some Jamia Millia Islamia students too involved in collecting relief materials for the flood hit people of Bihar. A Jamia student Tarique even issued an appeal for the residents of Okhla urging them not to spend a lot of money on Eid-ul Adha and contribute generously to the relief materials.

Reports have surfaced in the media that many people living in some districts have been hit hard by flood in Bihar with the situation being talked about among people living in Okhla who are originally from Bihar. Some people from the flood areas are living in Okhla with their relatives.
