This time around the results of Government schools CBSE Class XII results in Delhi, including Okhla, has been impressive, according to activists Nazia Hassan. Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia too congratulated the students of doing well in the exams.
“Joga Bai Batla House Government girls’ school is the second ranked best results for the board exams!! Total students appeared for exam 115. Of them 2 got compartments and nobody failed. Sualeha topped with 83.6 per cent followed by Sadaf81.6 per cent, Shabnam 81.4 per cent and Tamanna 80.4 per cent. About 57 students got distinction in Home Science and 34 in Political Science,” she said.
The boys ranked 90.48 per cent. Some 40 students appeared in the exam. Of them 38 passed, 3 got compartments and one failed.
Noor Nagar Sarvoday Girls’ Government school: Total student appeared 272 in which 252 passed and 15 students got compartment and five failed. The results ranked 92.64 per cent, said activist Nazia. The all India CBSE Class XII results were announced two days ago in which a Nodia-based girl Raksha Gopal of Amity Noida bagging the honour this year scoring impressive 498 marks out of 500 (99.6 per cent) in humanities.
She became the first students from humanities to top in many years in India.
A senior CBSE official, while stating that moderation has been restricted to three or four marks this year, said: “As ordered by the Delhi HC and advised by the legal counsel, we continued with the moderation policy. However, there has been no spiking of marks which is evident from the number of 90% and above scorers, which has otherwise been increasing for last 10 years.”
While talking about Sualeha, activist Nazia said the student is hard working and has won several awards earlier.
