Hours long chakka jam against ‘attack’ on Ashu ends; Okhlaiites heave sigh of relief

More than two hours long protest over the alleged attack on Ashu Khan at Bhaskar Compound in Abul Fazal Enclave came to end at about 9:30 pm, according to residents, who heaved a sigh of relief.

IMG-20160825-WA0075The long traffic jam in the evening by Ashu’s supporters took several residents by shock as they were forced to spend hours in jam that went back to Kalindi Kunj, said residents on the condition of anonymity.

As words spread of the attack on Ashu, hundreds of residents turned up outside Bhaskar Compound, said residents, adding that the crowd erupted after rumours spread like wildfire in the locality that Ashu was attacked and sustained bullet injures. However, Ashu’s close associates who were on the phone said he sustained injuries and was doing fine. Later on his photo surfaced on the social media killing the rumours.

Though Ashu could not be reached as his phone was being answered by his close associates the situation turned into normal later on. Ashu’s supporters said he was attacked by Wajid Khan and his men. Wajid, AAP ward in-charge 206, had a different story to narrate.

He alleged that he was the victim as he was attacked by Ashu and his men and he sustained injury and was lucky to survive.

Till late night OKHLATIMES was unable to authenticate the development as both the sides had their own stories to narrate.

Till the filing of the report, medical check of both the accused and victim was going on, said sources. Many people avoided to talk on the subject.

Residents claimed that several vehicles were ransacked and several rounds were fired. Several attempts to reach Ashu failed as he could not be reached.
