All is fair in politicsOT, January 25, 2012 08:19 IST Okhla Times News Desk When the Anna Hazare’s anti-graft movement had surfaced a few months ago, it jolted the political parties of all hue. Then many had expected political parties to mend their ways and things would improve. But a few latest developments show that no political party is serious in the fight against corruption. Be it the BJP or the Congress or any other political parties they all have been exposed in the ongoing elections campaign in five assembly states, including the most crucial one Uttar Pradesh. Most of the political parties are taking the people for a ride by roping in corrupt and criminal elements. When Babu Singh Kushwaha of BSP was kicked out of the party on alleged charges of corruption, it was the BJP that embraced him. The party’s irresponsible act left many of its supporters shocked as a few months ago it was backing Anna in the fight against corruption. When it comes to fight against corruption, the ruling Congress too is not very clean. Other parties too are not shying away from inducting criminal background candidates. In this election, the uppermost thing in their mind is how to improve their tallies and regain power. The politics of opportunism is on full display in UP and other states. Post a comment Top News
