Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal is to visit Okhla tomorrow at 3:30 pm. According to AAP youth leader Mahmood Ahmad, Kejriwal is to visit Joga Bai R block for the inauguration of keeping transformed in the locality.
It is understood that the installation of transformer in the area would help address power woes of the locals. Moreover, it is important to point out that Kejriwal is coming to Okhla at a time when the issue of bad roads and waterlogging are at the centre stage with former AAP worker, who now has emerged as one of the opponents of the part in the locality, has threatened to sit on indefinite hunger strike over poor civic amenities in the locality.
Reports have surfaced that Pervez Mohammad, who once was close to Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan, raising the banner of revolt in the locality.
It would be interesting to see whether the opposition leaders, including some activists, gather enough courage tomorrow to hold peaceful protest or meet Kejriwal when he comes to Okhla and submit him the memo or just continue their tirade against the AAP and Kejriwal on the social media as they have been doing for long with very little impact on the ground.
