Another road accident in Okhla

Another road accident took place in Okhla. Residents attributed the accident to rogue bikers. Md Uzair, who received minor injuries in the accident and was lucky enough not to get life-threatening injuries, was heard saying that a bike was coming in high speed from the other side.

“I was driving slowly and was able to control my bike. But the youth who was driving at breakneck speed hit my bike just at the Maulana Azad Road. I was lucky in the sense that the bike didn’t hit me in my legs,” he was heard narrating the incident to other residents who had gathered immediately after the two bikes clashed.

Uzair got hurt in his face and was suggested for first aid in a local hospital. This is not one off incident in the locality as of late cases of road accidents due to rogue bikers have gone up. In most of the cases it has been seen that the accused are underaged who are caught driving like mad on the very busy road of Jamia Nagar. In this case also the accused bikers were let off after argument as they were not willing to take the responsibility of be doing any wrong, said eyewitnesses.

The situation is such that the issue of rogue driving was discussed by imams in Friday prayer.
