This is not first incident in the locality when a road accident has taken place with car hitting the divider.

Residents lamented that since divider has surfaced several accidents have taken place.

Late night commuters attribute road accidents to dark spot in the area, driving in high speed and not taking care of road laws.

Though in this case as Shibli reported from the spot that the driver was drunk in most cases drivers find it difficult to drive at night as there is very little light available on the road with no streetlights on the long stretch.

Several efforts to convince local authorities and local representatives have failed.

And as winter sets in chances of more such accidents taking place at night time would increase.

All told, rash driving is a major issue in the locality with young bikers endangering lives of others. A few months ago a rogue biker had hit a passerby woman who died on the spot.

After being hit by a rogue biker the woman had fallen on the divider receiving injuries on her head, said family members, adding that she was rushed to a local hospital where doctors declared her brought dead. Shockingly the rogue biker made his way from the spot.

A few weeks ago another accident took place in Noor Nagar in which a driver had hit a youth who was inspecting a school bus being run by his father.

The boy died on the spot, reported eyewitnesses with the woman driver fleeing from the spot leaving her car behind.
