“Her condition is better than earlier. She is still in ICU on ventilator. Her one eye has been damaged. The doctors have kept her under observation for one week and only after that they will take the decision to operate on her,” Aslam told OT.COM a few hours ago.

Earlier, an Okhla resident wrote this in a WhatsApp group: “I spoke to Anam’s brother who is at AIIMS Trauma Centre. Alhumdulillah, she is now out of danger. Doctors will perform a surgery tomorrow. The family has requested us to pray for her. They do not need further financial assistance and have asked people not to transfer funds. What they need is our dua. May the little girl recover soon.”

It was only on Monday when a blood donation appeal had surfaced in Okhla.

Reporting on the incident, Times of India reported: “Eyewitnesses said two motorcycle-borne youth and an Innova driver were involved in a scuffle during which shots were fired around 1:45 pm. A stray bullet hit the girl above the right eyebrow. She was rushed to the hospital where her condition was described critical.”

SSP, Aligarh, Rajesh Pandey said prima facie it appeared to be a fallout of a road rage incident but investigation were on, claimed the report.

Also, several posts have surfaced on the social media urging people not to spread rumours regarding Anam’s health. One user wrote: “Anam’s condition is stable now and kindly do not spread any kind of rumours.”
