Curtains down on Amicable Clique by Jamia students

The exhibition is currently ongoing at Kala Srot Art Gallery, Aliganj in the Capital city of Uttar Pradesh.

It was inaugurated on 11th September by notable personalities of Lucknow. This exhibition will close at 7 pm on 17th September 2017.

This exhibition was somewhat unique in its concept. Deriving out the students from their comfort zone, it sought to give them a new perspective by the people who belong to the city of nawabs.

The paintings, photography, sculptures and digital work on display bring out the creativity of the artists in making. The exhibition starts with the paintings presenting fine works of calligraphy which praises the Almighty Allah. The next section deals with the superstitions which plague our Indian society. The works talks about the ills and their effects.

The nature and natural world are not left behind as some works bring out the beauty which is present. The photographs and digital work present the loss of humanity in the human beings of this world. The sculptures talk about the life cycle of human life in this universe. It has a start, a middle and an end but then again moves toward having a new beginning.

The curator Ramisha Shams said this is not an event but an epistemology. The co-curators Noman and Mohammad Asif said this exhibition will go a long way in helping the artist to develop their taste, style and technique.
