Breaking news: Amanat resigns from top post
Reports are emanating that Okhla MLA
Amanatullah Khan has resigned from the top post: the Political Affairs Committee (PAC), reported the NDTV.
After Khan gave statement against Kumar Vishwas a day ago, tension surfaced in the AAP with many legislators demanding sacking of the Okhla MLA.
Following which the AAP had announced to hold a PAC meeting to discuss the issue arising from Khan’s statement and letters written by MLAs for action against the MLA.
Khan is also a member of the PAC.
In the forefront of attack against Amanatullah are: Delhi Ministers Kapil Mishra, Imran Hussain, Dwarka MLA Adarsh Shastri. It has been reported that a letter against the MLA has carries their signature among others. In Okhla too, local AAP leader Zia Choudhary has criticized the MLA for going against party line.
Hussain tweeted: “Amanatullah has lost his mental balance.”
“If he has proof then he should present it to the PAC. The charges that he has levelled are serious and if he fails to produce any evidence to back it up then he should be expelled from the party,” Chandni Chowk MLA Alka Lamba said.
Khan’s version could not be taken as his phone was busy.
