After the news surfaced of the Aam Aadmi Party suspending its Okhla MLA Amanatullah Khan for accusing senior party leader Kumar Vishwas of being an “RSS-BJP agent” the decision is being question by Khan’s supporters in Okhla online.
Moreover, some of Okhla AAP workers were seen getting ready to take out a march to Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal’s residence to protest against the action.
Till the news surfaced many have hit the social media too. Alleged Asaduddin Owaisi tweet on the development too is doing the rounds with many netizens sharing it.
“@KhanAmanatullah suspension example of how Muslims are treated in political parties “use & throw” Muslims should become leaders not chamchas,” he tweeted.
However, his twitter account has got no blue ticker.
The AAP has also set up a disciplinary committee to look into the statements made by Khan against Vishwas.
Reacting to this, Khan said this was the party’s decision, but it was not mandatory for him to present himself before the three-member committee.
Earlier, Vishwas had said: “Had Amanatullah Khan said anything like this against Arvind or Manish, he would have been shown the door in ten minutes.”
In Okhla there is uneasiness among Okhla AAP workers over the development. Many among them feel that Khan has been made scapegoat.
