Activist Munne brings ‘good’ news for Okhla

Social worker and journalist Munne Bharti on Monday met with the south east DCP traffic Vijay Singh in his office and apprised him of the poor traffic situation in Okhla’s Jamia.

After 30-minute meeting was over, Bharti said very soon Jamia people will feel the change in traffic for the betterment.

Bharti informed Singh about the day-to-day jam and accident caused by errant drivers in the absence of traffic police in the area.

Bharti said the DCP traffic took immediate action and ordered the traffic ATI to resolve the traffic problems with immediate effect. Moreover, Bharti also submitted a resolution and asked for construction of speed breakers on the Kalindi Kunj road to avoid accidents.

Speed breaker is specifically required on thokar no 8, 7, 5 and 3, he said.

During the meeting several crucial decisions were taken for betterment of Okhla. A decision was taken to form a committee containing police ATI, officials of RWA members and social workers to look after traffic issues, he said.
