Accident took place in Shaheen Bagh on Tuesday, according to residents. And to address the issue of water logging in the area due to which accidents are taking place residents have called a meeting, said Md Ansar.
For the last more than ten days this road near Tayyab Mosque has been waterlogged with some manhole opened, said Ansar.
If a few days ago a car got stuck on this stretch of road today a youth riding a bike met with accident, he said.
“Most probably the bike got stuck in the open manhole. Residents rushed to help the boy. The boy didn’t sustain any serious injury. He went home after getting first aid,” said Ansar.
Waterlogged roads are a major issue in the locality. Residents lamented that even in non-monsoon season, one can easily find overflowing sewer in many parts of Jamia Nagar with authorities little concerned about it.

Even today water was overflowing on Okhla Head-Batla House road in front of a few eateries that have come up there.
Many streets in Abul Fazal Enclave, Okhla Vihar and other places face water logging problem.
