Speeding car rams into auto killing woman techie, 3 others in Ghaziabad; Police hunt Okhla doc

Hunt is on to locate a doctor, who allegedly rammed his speeding Audi Q7 car into an auto a few days ago in Ghaziabad’s Indirapuram leading to death of four people, including a Noida-based woman techie and others, police said on Saturday as claimed by daily reports.

After the accident the driver of the vehicle made way from the spot. However, police investigation has found that the car was registered under the name of Manish Rawat, who works in Safdarjung hospital and is a resident of Sarita Vihar, reported dailies.

The driver of the auto died on the spot. The Rinku Yadav was working in HCL, Noida. Yajuvinder Singh and Vishal Singh had come from Kanpur for an interview, reported a daily.

Yajuvinder, Vishal and Rinku were to meet someone in Indirapuram and had hired Sanjeev’s auto-rickshaw. The SUV is found to be damaged in the front, airbags had opened up after the accident and passengers are believed to have sustained minor injuries, reported TOI.

Documents recovered from the car shows that the vehicle is owned by a neurosurgeon, Dr Manish Rawat. However, it isn’t confirmed as to if he was in the car when the accident took place. The police are still on the lookout for him as his current residence is locked and hospital authorities are not aware of his whereabouts, reported the daily.

An FIR had been filed at the Indirapuram police station. “We are on the lookout for the owner of the vehicle. A case has been filed under Section 307, 279 and 427″, said station house officer PK Tripati.
