AAP workers protest against MCD; AIMIM to take out rally against MLA Khan soon: As dates to the municipal corporation elections are coming nearer political aspirants and parties have started to talk about cleanliness in the locality, which is not a bad thing at all.
A rally was taken out by Okhla AAP workers against the MCD for its failure in the locality. Sharing photo with a post, a resident wrote: आज बटला हाउस चौक पर mcd के खिलाफ पुतला फूंका गया। डेंगू और गंदगी जो है घटने का नाम नहीं लेती और यहाँ के कौंसिलर साहब की आँख नहीं खुलती है। … के साथ दीगर अफराद ने इस काम में हिस्सा लिया।”
But this is not the end of the protest in Okhla, a deprived locality in Delhi. It is going to witness more such protests in coming days. Afzal Khan Afridi, President Ward Okhla of AIMIM wrote: “Okhla team to organise a huge protest against Delhi Govt and Okhla MLA Amantullah Khan on August 21. A rally will be taken out from Batla House Bus Stand to Amantullah Khan residence at 2 pm against bad condition of roads and cleanliness in Okhla constituency.”
It is not the only political party that is crying foul as Okhla continues to be in bad condition even social activists, who have political aspiration, too have started talking about the issue, said a resident, adding that such things are not new.
“Chances are that after elections all these people will sit mum. During election even political aspirants make issues of cleanliness and poor infrastructure. But for the last more than 20 years nothing fruitful has happened as development continues to be a mirage for residents,” said a resident on the condition of anonymity.
