AAP ka Wajid Khan wins from Abul Fazal.
Wajid Khan of AAP has won from Abul Fazal Enclave, according to data available online.
Congress Pervez Alam Khan and SP candidate were also in the race.
Wajid got 10,374 votes with Pervez getting 6,127 votes, according to score sheet doing the rounds in locality.
By winning the seat in a tightly-fought contest, 36-year-old Wajid has managed to save some points for AAP and Amanatullah Khan as the party’s candidates lost in other wards. It was since morning, when the counting began in the area, it was Wajid who was leading from the front. And throughout the voting, he kept his lead with Congress candidate Pervez Alam Khan trying his best to catch up with him.
At times the SP’s cycle too sped up but ended at the third position below Congress candidate.
It was a debut contest for Pervez and Wajid. In the high-voltage campaign, it was Wajid who succeeded in getting most numbers. It is to be pointed that Pervez is from Bihar and was banking on people of Bihar to vote him to power. Though data is still not available, it is understood that despite three candidates in fray from Bihar, including Sarwar Iqbal Khan, Shafiqur Rahman and Pervez and others, many people from Bihar preferred AAP.
After the win, celebration began in AAP camp.
