For 6,706 seats more than 1 L students apply in Jamia

For 6,706 seats more than 1 L students apply in Jamia. Courses at Jamia Millia Islamia are in high demand as a large number of aspirants have applied for 6,706 seats across undergraduate, postgraduate, certificates and diploma courses.

If we go by the data then the response has been overwhelming with the iconic university receiving 1,37,156 applications, which means that a little over 20 candidates are competing for each seat in the university.

According to a daily report, the most difficult course to crack appears to be BDS as for 50 seats the centre has received 6,200 applications. For every one seats there are 124 candidates, reported TOI.

But the good thing for aspirants is that unlike DU where there is cut-off at Jamia entry is through entrance exam and hence it matters little how much marks a student has scored in Class XII.
