17 ZFI Fellows felicitated (video): The Zakat Foundation on of India on Sunday felicitated 17 civil servants who were coached at institute run by them.
The event held at India Islamic Culture Centre at Lodi Road in Nizamuddin was a huge hit with hundreds of residents turning up. During the event, Muslim intellectuals, who were invited, addressed the audience. Also, 17 civil servants from the minority community shared their experience and some among them urged the aspirants to work hard to achieve their goal.
Addressing the packed hall at the IICC, ZFI chief Syed Zafar Mahmood presented the data showing how many Muslims sit for the UPSC test every year. Moreover, he also urged the community to participate in having more share in the bureaucracy so as to be part of developed India.
Also, he gave reason why he named the coaching Sir Syed Coaching and Guidance Centre. Other participants included retired civil servants and IICC chief Sirjauddin Qureshi. The ZFI Fellows were given certificated and felicitated. Justice Rajinder Sachar was also present at the event.
After the event was over, the audience was invited for dinner.
Besides Okhla-headquartered ZFI, several other organisations are working across India by providing guidance and coaching to civil aspirants from minority community.
